A good presentation but I would like to know what % of MFIs funds are used as credit input towards Farm production as I observe major portion goes towards consumption. Likewise, the crop insurance is a failure in India as it is bogged with several pre - requisites for settling the claim. Forget about weather insurance which is still worse. Both the price information and warehouse finance to the farmers availing MFI finance is deplorable in India. I would be happy to receive the real situation rather than probable therapeutic recommendations. Sorry to be criticising as I know the harsh realities of BOP financing.
